Center hosts Festival of Trees Friday

Pagosa Springs’ one and only Festival of Trees is at 6 p.m. Friday.

Come to the gala event and bid on a tree. In doing so, you can help out one, two or maybe three local nonprofit organizations!

You can also bid on silent auction items.

The ticket price is only $10. You will be entertained by Peter Morey, and will enjoy some fantastic catered hors d’oeuvres, and a cash bar.

If you can’t make it to the auction, please come and view the trees. It is truly fabulous.

Bar D Wranglers

It’s another great season’s greetings ay the Bar D Wranglers’ Christmas Jubilee. Saturday, Dec. 5, at the Ross Aragon Community Center.

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the show at 7. The Christmas Jubilee is a fun-filled evening of Christmas songs, jokes and stories sure to be enjoyed by the whole family.

You can purchase tickets at the community center, 8 a.m-5:30 p.m. Adult tickets are $15; children 12 and under, $8.

Old Fashioned Christmas

You don’t want to miss the children’s’ Old Fashioned Christmas, at the Ross Aragon Community Center Wednesday, Dec. 9, 6-8 p.m.

This is ann evening of family fun for elementary-age kids and their families, free to the community.

Come spend the evening with your family making Christmas crafts, playing games and decorating Christmas cookies.

We will have a snack bar with Frito pies, cocoa and goodies.

Classes and groups

Are you looking for a new activity? Well, we have an instructor who is willing to teach sewing. So, if you think you would like to take a sewing class, call the center at 264-4152.

If you have an idea of an activity you would like the community center to sponsor, call Michelle, 264-4152. We are always looking for something new.

Scrapbook. A session is planned for Dec. 5. If you would like join the class, contact Melissa at 731-1574 or 903-4289.

Cancer Support Group. If you are interested in the group, call Howard Gross, 264-5100.

Hoopsters. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 8-9 a.m. Call Larry at 731-3984 or 264-1024 for more information.

Morning yoga. Tuesdays, 10-11:30 a.m.

Duplicate Bridge. Regularly scheduled games are Tuesdays, 5:30-10 p.m., Fridays, 12:30-4 p.m. Call Stan at 731-2217 with questions.
