Habitat for Humanity hosts Tool Belts and Tiaras gala

September 19, 2009, is going to be a night to remember — a night you won’t want to miss.

On that night, Habitat for Humanity of Archuleta County will host “Tool Belts and Tiaras: A Gala Celebrating 15 years.”

This fund-raising event, held at the Pagosa Springs Community Center, begins at 7 p.m. Enjoy delicious hors d’oeuvres served by Degelman’s Classic Catering and a cash bar; dance the night away with Pagosa’s very own Leadfoot Ruthie, and bid on your favorite items at our silent and live auctions.

Auction items include a decorative, handmade rocking horse; Adirondeck chairs made by hand by prisoners in the Habitat Colorado Prison Partnership; framed art; custom-designed birdhouses; and the top item of the evening — a handmade, 6x6-foot children’s playhouse.

Tickets are on sale now for $30 per person. Purchase your tickets at Higher Grounds, the Pagosa Springs Chamber and Visitor Center, or at the Habitat office. To purchase your tickets or to learn more about this exciting event, call Cindi Galabota at 264-6960. We look forward to celebrating with you!

We would like to recognize and thank our sponsors: Citizen’s Bank, Ponderosa Lumber, Four Season’s Land Co., Rotary Noon Club, St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, Bank of Colorado and Old West Press.
