Come one, come all — pancake breakfast fund-raiser

Come one, come all, to the grand finale, pancake breakfast fund-raiser.

Rise and shine to the smell of pancakes slathered in butter and syrup along with ham or bacon, fresh fruit, juice and of course coffee or tea.

Wake up Archuleta County and grab your neighbor, grab your kids, grab your friends, and grab your honey, money and loved ones, and come on down to the senior center on Thursday, Sept. 3, from 7 to 9 a.m. for the last pancake breakfast of the year.

Your $5 breakfast will help support the many services the Silver Foxes Den Senior Center has to offer.

Homebound?

Or do you know someone who is? Let the Silver Foxes Den help you with your meals.

We have expanded our service to the more rurally isolated areas of the county and would like to help you, help yourself.

These meals are the same meals prepared in our kitchen by the cooks who prepare those scrumptious senior center meals.

Our hot meal, home delivery program remains available to those closer to town, four days per week.

Meals are available to folks age 60-plus for a suggested donation of $3 per meal; give Musetta a call at 264-2167 for further information.

Volunteers

We are looking for outgoing, friendly volunteers to deliver meals once per week to our homebound seniors and/or to drive our medical shuttle, as needed, to Durango. We are also in need of someone to bus tables after lunch and provide general clean up — free lunch provided. If you are interested, contact Musetta at 264-2167.

Thank you

The Flower Fairy struck again bringing splashes of color to our homebound folks. Thank you for your kindness.

Share ‘n Care donated several cases of peaches to our meal program, making our fruit salad quite peachy. Thank you for your kindness.
