Hunter education classes Aug. 27-28

Hunter education classes are scheduled for Thursday, Aug. 27, 6-10 p.m., and Friday, Aug. 28, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., at the Colorado Mounted Ranger Building, 302 San Juan St.

Cost is $10 per student. Students must attend each session.

If you were born on or after Jan. 1, 1949, you are required to have a hunter safety card before you can purchase a hunting license.

All programs, services and activities of the Colorado Division of Wildlife are operated in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. If you need accommodation due to a disability, contact Doug Purcell or Mike Reid at 247-0855, or Don Volger at 264-2197. To assure that the Division of Wildlife can meet special needs, notify Doug, Mike or Don at least seven days before the class.

Class size will not be limited, and no pre-registration is required unless you need accommodations due to a disability.

These courses are sponsored by the Pagosa Springs Police Department in conjunction with the Colorado Division of Wildlife, with support from the local chapter of the Friends of the NRA.
