Taize service Sunday at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church
Wednesday, July 22, 2009

This Sunday, Robert and Sally Neel will lead the community in a Taize service at St. Patrick’s Episcopal Church, beginning at 5 p.m. at 225 S. Pagosa Blvd.

The community is invited to attend and participate in this service of music, contemplative prayer and special readings.

Robert is a junior at Pagosa Springs High School and has been in two musicals, “Into the Woods” and “West Side Story.” Robert has been singing and playing piano since early childhood. Robert will be accompanied by his mom, Sally Neel, organist and choir director at St. Patrick’s Church.

Robert will sing “The Hardest Part of Love” and “In the Beginning” from “Children of Eden,” by Stephen Schwartz.

Sally and Robert will sing together on “Panis Angelicus” by Cesar Franck. This service is nondenominational and all are welcome to attend.

Father Doug Neel, Sally and Robert moved to Pagosa last September and have gifted us with their many musical talents. St. Patrick’s started the Sunday Night Unplugged service this spring, with every month bringing new musicians and music, and a way to invite the community to participate with the various programs.
