SHY RABBIT Contemporary Arts is pleased to announce its expanded summer hours, providing additional opportunities for local and out of town visitors to stop by during the busy summer months.
Beginning in June and continuing through September, SHY RABBIT will be open seven days a week, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on Fridays.
Take advantage of these expanded hours to discover all that SHY RABBIT has to offer. The 4,000 square-foot arts facility houses a ceramic studio and fine art gallery, two mixed-media workshops, and two large exhibition spaces, hosting 4-6 exhibitions annually.
Gaining in reputation as the area’s leading contemporary arts venue, SHY RABBIT has received acclaim for its contribution to the advancement of art and art education in the Four Corners region, and for the high level of its exhibitions.
For five years SHY RABBIT has been leading the way, exhibiting contemporary sculptural and functional ceramics, photography, mixed media works, paintings, sculpture, and works on paper by nationally recognized, mid-career, and emerging artists from throughout the USA and from abroad.
Printmaking, ceramics and artist business development workshops of all levels are held regularly throughout the year, building community through the arts.
For more information on the workshops being currently offered, visit www.shyrabbit.com/Workshops.html.
SHY RABBIT is also launching First Fridays@SHY RABBIT, an eclectic evening of arts and culture, taking place the first Friday of the month from June through September. First Fridays are a great time to experience art and creativity in a warm and welcoming environment.
First Fridays@SHY RABBIT will begin June 5, with an open house from 4-6 p.m., or later. Visitors will be able to tour the arts facility at their leisure, and watch SHY RABBIT Ceramic Studio members create new work on the potter’s wheel. Light refreshments will be served.
Don’t miss this opportunity to visit SHY RABBIT for the first time, to stop by again if it’s been a while, or to meet up with friends for an evening of art.
