Tennis registration deadline today

The registration deadline for the June session of youth tennis for ages 7-13 is 5 p.m. today.

Registrations are available online through the recreation department link at www.townofpagosasprings.com and are also available at the recreation office in Town Hall. The cost for the June session is $30.

If participation is sufficient, this year’s program will consist of two sessions, one in June and one in July. Participants in all age divisions will meet twice a week at the Wyndham Resorts tennis courts for one-hour intervals.

Sessions for ages 7-10 will be held Mondays and Wednesdays from 11 a.m.-noon, and sessions for ages 11-13 will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m.-noon. A minimum of four participants per division will be required to conduct a session.

Participants must have a tennis racquet and non-marking athletic or tennis shoes. Running shoes can cause injuries as they are not designed for lateral movement. All necessary equipment may be ordered from Dale Schwicker at very reasonable costs; he can be contacted at 731-3363.

For more information contact Andy Rice, recreation supervisor, at 264-4151, Ext. 231.
