Cards of Thanks

Mountain High Gardeners would like to thank Bonnie and Larry Sprague of High Plains Nursery in Allison for their continued support of our projects, including plant materials for the Senior Garden and the new Lewis Street Planters. They have always given their support, advice when asked, and have always provided a source for many plants that will grow at this altitude. We appreciate your enthusiasm in all that you do for us. Thank you so much.

Our heartfelt thanks go to the emergency medical technicians of the Upper San Juan Health Services District, who arrived within minutes in response to our call for help Wednesday, May 20, when our raft flipped over in the San Juan in downtown Pagosa. Your medical expertise and assistance were needed and very much appreciated. Also, thanks to all those Pagosans who were in the area and came to help. Special thanks to Justin Stone whose efforts to determine if one of us was under the raft before we were all accounted for were heroic. Thank you, Matt, for going down river to retrieve our raft. Last, but not least, many thanks to the doctor, nurses and staff at Pagosa Mountain Hospital for their care and concern. We are proud to be members of such a caring community.

Lutheran school

Our Savior Lutheran School would like to thank Pizza Hut for their recent generosity. We were given enough personal pan certificates for all school age children at OSLS. The certificates were presented for a job well done on the yearly ITBS assessments. The kids were thrilled.

I want to thank all of the people of Pagosa whom helped my family through the difficult time of my Mom, Patty, passing away. I cannot begin to express how much the generosity has meant to me — all of the kind words, the organizing of the service and the donations. Without this, I don’t know how we would have gotten through such a difficult time. This has just been another reminder of why my Mom loved it here so much.

Thank you all again.
