Big weekend ahead at Home and Garden Show

Plan to attend the 10th annual Home and Garden Show, this weekend, May 16 and 17, at the Archuleta County Fairgrounds and Western Heritage Center, presented by the Builders Association of Pagosa Springs.

Visit nearly 75 booths with local and regional participants showcasing their building, landscaping, home improvement and lifestyle exhibits. Home builders and remodelers, window and door professionals, solar and insulation specialists, as well as spectacular outdoor exhibits featuring landscape designs, spas and patio décor and custom stonework, will all be at this year’s show. Vendors will be on hand to provide you with plenty of ideas, information and ways you can improve your surroundings.

Colorado artists will feature their beautiful creations and live cooking demonstrations will take place during the show. In addition, several vendors will offer free seminars throughout the weekend and you’ll have an opportunity to ask questions and learn from the experts.

The Builder’s Auction will be held on Sunday at 1 p.m., where you can purchase gently-used equipment and building supplies at great prices. The whole family will have some fun at the nail driving contest, then when you’re ready for a break, food and beverage vendors, including Eddie’s Uptown Grill and Ramon’s Restaurant, will be on site to satisfy your appetite.

Show hours are Saturday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission to the show is $2 for adults and children under 18 are free. Adult admission includes a chance to participate in the drawing to win a 32-inch flat screen high definition TV and a Nintendo Wii game console with a complete sports package. The drawing will be held Sunday at 4 p.m. but you don’t have to be present to win.

So, come and join us at the Home and Garden Show and help “Build a Better Community.” This is a don’t miss event with powerful ideas that make dollars and sense. The Builder’s Association of Pagosa Springs is committed to making a positive impact in our community and one that ensures a healthier tomorrow.
