To assist town residents in cleaning up our community, the Town of Pagosa Springs is again hosting the annual Clean Up Week, May 11-15.
Scheduled curb-side pickup is scheduled for residential properties only, and can include items such as old lumber, branches, appliances (no freon) and yard junk. No household trash.
Items must be at the curb before the scheduled pickup day, or you will be required to remove these items yourself.
Commercial properties are responsible for their own removal of items.
Scheduled curbside pickup days are:
• Monday, May 11 — North 1st Street to North 5th Street.
• Tuesday, May 12 — North 5th Street to North 14th Street.
• Wednesday, May 13 — San Juan Street/ Hot Springs Boulevard to South 6th Street.
• Thursday, May 14 — South 7th Street to 10th Street (Garvin Addition).
• Friday, May 15 — Bienvenido St., Piedra Estates.
Information regarding freon removal from refrigerators, removal of vehicles, recycling, hardship assistance, and other helpful cleanup information is available by calling 264-4151, Ext. 225.
A Dumpster will be available at the town shop at 703 S. 5th At., 8 a.m.-5 p.m., May 11-15 only. Proof of town residency is required for its use. No household trash will be accepted.
Cemetery cleanup is scheduled for May 18-22. This is a cleanup for the cemetery grounds only. Items for disposal are prohibited from being brought into the cemetery.
The town police department will issue nuisance notices to property owners who have junk, litter or junk vehicles on their premises after cleanup week, so please participate in Clean Up Week 2009.
Don’t forget: the Archuleta County Recycling Center accepts glass, cardboard, plastic bottles, paper, aluminum and tin cans.
