Registration for this year’s youth baseball leagues will run through Friday, May 1.

The office is also accepting registrations for the 11-12 division and the 13-14 division, but if the number of registrations turned in is not sufficient to support leagues in these age brackets (at least two teams), registration fees will be refunded and the leagues will be canceled.

Rename the Sports Complex
For the past several years, the Town of Pagosa Springs has been working toward the completion of a new 16-acre park facility on South 5th Street which has been commonly referred to as “the Sports Complex.”
The ongoing development of this facility is the result of funding contributions from Great Outdoors Colorado, the town, county and school district, and the second phase of the complex was recently completed. As a result, the complex will soon assume its role as the newest functioning community park, and is now ready for a new name.
Through the end of the month, citizens are invited to help name this new facility by submitting suggestions to the recreation office in Town Hall.
Submissions should include the name and contact information of the entrant, and can be dropped off at the front desk in Town Hall. Submissions can also be mailed to:
“Name Game,” Town Hall, P.O. Box 1849, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147, or e-mailed to email@example.com.
The contest will end at 5 p.m. April 30, and the winning entry will be announced in May.
For more information, contact the recreation office at 264-4151, Ext. 232.
The recreation department is accepting donations for this year’s Fourth of July fireworks show.
Donations in any amount will be accepted; checks and money orders should be made payable to Town of Pagosa Springs.
Donations should be addressed “Attention: Fireworks” and mailed to P.O. Box 1859, Pagosa Springs, CO 81147. If you would like to make a cash donation, please do so in person at the front desk in Town Hall.
Due to scheduling conflicts, indoor soccer at the Community Center has been canceled; play is tentatively scheduled to resume outdoors this month, weather and field conditions permitting.
For more information on this program, contact Matt Bowdridge at 903-8663, or call the recreation office at 264-4151, Ext. 232.
