Should holistic practices be intermingled with traditional medicine?
Find out more at the Sisson Library this Saturday, April 4, when Lifelong Learning Lectures will host Dr. Lauren Cohen of the Pagosa Health and Wellness Network in her presentation of “Integrative Healthcare: Blending Natural Healing with Modern Medicine.”
There are so many options in today’s healthcare, it’s often confusing as to which approach would be best suited for your particular needs. With the increase in popularity of more natural approaches, questions arise about how to blend these practices with traditional medicine. During this lecture Cohen will more clearly define each approach and show how to effectively integrate them for the greatest impact on your health and healing. A chiropractor with more than 15 years experience, Cohen specializes in network spinal analysis, functional endocrinology and somato-respiratory integration.
Then looking ahead, we’ll be taking a break in lectures for Easter weekend, but be sure to plan for the presentation on April 18, when former Peace Corps volunteer Dennis Aronson will share his “Adventures in Afghanistan.”
The Lifelong Learning Lectures series presents a wide variety of topics sure to pique the interest of residents and visitors alike. Its mission is to help you keep your mind agile and your life interesting. Each presentation is free and open to the public. Lectures take place at the Sisson Library, located at the corner of U.S. 160 and 8th Street, starting sharply at 3 p.m.
