Steven Albert Jaramillo died March 16, 2009, in Arboles, Colo. He was 50.
Steve was born Dec. 7, 1958, in Los Angeles, Calif., to Albert and Lucille Jaramillo. He was a graduate of Alhambra High School and later attended East Los Angeles College. He worked for 17 years as a Los Angeles County Sheriff Deputy, and he was a member of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s posse.
He moved to Pagosa Springs, and then to Arboles. He enjoyed ranching and horses. He was an avid outdoorsman and liked camping, hunting and fishing. He coached many of his children’s sports teams.
Survivors include his wife, Ginger, of Pagosa Springs, daughters Danielle and Brittany Jaramillo and son Stevie Jaramillo of Pagosa Springs, parents Albert and Lucille Jaramillo and brothers Paul and Rick Jaramillo, all of Hacienda Heights, Calif.; sister Jeannine Jaramillo of Oregon; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A service was held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 21, at the family home in Arboles.
