We’re barely half way through March and community citizens have already reported numerous bluebird sightings across Pagosa Country.
Therefore, the Weminuche Audubon Society will gather at the Pagosa Springs Community Center next Wednesday, March 18, to discuss bluebirds, the importance of nesting boxes and how to monitor them. As part of the chapter’s regular monthly meeting, the enlightening discourse will begin at 6 p.m. Of course, the evening is free and open to the public.
The meeting will serve as a prelude to another chapter TogetherGreen event scheduled for March 28. That Saturday, members and friends will again gather at the community center to build several nesting boxes for distribution throughout the region. Construction will commence at 9 a.m., the chapter will provide lunch and again, the public is invited. Bring a hammer and Phillips screwdriver.
