There are two corrections we need to make regarding Cinco de Mayo: The date is May 2, and the dance is still in question. Sorry about the mistake.
The community center, Spanish Fiesta Club and Guadalupanas are collaborating on Cinco de Mayo Fiesta this year. The celebration will be May 2, 11 a.m.-3 p.m. and 7-11 p.m. The age requirement is 13 and over. Teens must have a chaperone — no dropping off teens. We hope everyone will be able to attend. We will have more information on the activities at a later date.
We are hoping to have traditional Spanish crafts (regalos) at the event. So, if we have crafters out there who are interested in being a part of the celebration, booths are $30 each. We are also looking for entertainers.
If you would like to perform, please call the center, 264-4152.
You can get applications for the spring rummage sale, to be held April 4. Booths are 10x10, and are $25 each. For the Arts and Craft Show, May 15 and 16, booths are 10x10 and are $50 each.
You can pick up applications at the center, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m-4 p.m. Saturday.
