Plans underway for Cinco de Mayo Fiesta

The community center, Spanish Fiesta Club and the Guadalupana’s are collaborating on Cinco de Mayo Fiesta this year. . The celebration will be June 2, 11 a.m-3 p.m. and the dance will be held 7-11 p.m. The age requirement is 13 and over; teens must have a chaperone. No dropping off the teens. We hope everyone will be able to attend. We will have more information on the activities at a later date.

We are planning to have traditional Spanish (Regalos) crafts at the event. So, if we have crafters out there who are interested in being a part of this celebration, booth rentals are $30. Call the center for information, 264-4152.

You can get applications for the Spring Rummage Sale on April 4. Booths are 10x10, and are $25 each. You can also get your applications in for the Arts and Craft Show, May 1516. Booths at this event are 10x10 and are $50 each. You can pick up applications at the center, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday-Friday and 10 a.m-4 p.m. on Saturday.

Free programs — that’s what we are looking for. Maybe a book club, a dining adventure night (show a film on a country or state, and dine on its cuisine). I know you have more ideas, so let me hear from you. Just give me a call, and I’ll see what we can get started on — 264-4152.
