‘I have an idea ...’

The Seeds of Learning fundraising committee comprised of Michelle Bauer, Lynne Bridges, Ann Bubb, Amy Dunmyre, Susie Long, Dee McPeek, Susan Thorpe and Mely Whiting, is hard at work to make this year’s event, “One Big Family,” a raging success.

Our goal is to make it unique, memorable and profitable. We will be bringing back, by popular demand, the silent auction of table settings created and donated by a variety of local individuals. The wonderful Amy Dunmyre is offering her services to prepare a family-style meal for guests. A cash bar serving wine and beer will be available and “very little” entertainment by students of Seeds will be an evening highlight.

This committee expends hours of time and tons of talent in an effort to help Seeds of Learning continue to provide a safe and nurturing environment for toddlers and pre-school children. Seeds is an educational facility that also encompasses childcare, parenting classes and staff in-services. As part of the Colorado Preschool Kindergarten Program, it helps prepare children, many who are considered at risk, to compete and succeed in school. Seeds is rated in the state and is the pioneer of high quality early childhood education across the Southwest section of Colorado.

The doors will open at 5:30 P.M. on April 18 for “One Big Family.”

Individual tickets are $35 and can be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce, Switchback Mountain Wear and Seeds of Learning Early Care and Education Center. Please join the committee for some fun and some “fun”draising for the children of Seeds.
