The Pagosa Springs Rotary Club has announced that $20,000 in college scholarships will be awarded to six seniors at Pagosa Springs high schools in 2009.
The club has awarded over $224,500 to 104 students since 1982.
The scholarships available this year are as follows:
One $8,000 scholarship paid at $2,000 per year for four years
One $6,000 scholarship paid at $1,500 per year for four years
One $2,000 scholarship paid at $1,000 per semester
One $1,500 scholarship paid at $750 per semester
One $1,000 scholarship paid at $500 per semester
One $1,500 vocational/technical scholarship paid at $500 per semester
Scholarships are awarded on the basis scholastic accomplishment, extra curricular activities, personal essay, personal interview, financial need, letter of recommendations.
Scholarship application forms are available at counselor Mark Thompson’s office at the Pagosa Springs High School. Completed applications are due to the office on March 25, 2009.
The Pagosa Springs Rotary Club is proud to invest in the future of graduates of Pagosa Springs high schools.
