The Archuleta County Women’s Resource Center will open its doors Thursday, March 5, at the former Dr. Mary Fisher building on the grounds of the Pagosa Mountain Hospital.
The center will serve as a resource center and lifeline for women who need or want assistance with what is happening in their lives. Whether the need is problem solving, personal growth, community assistance or just a place to voice concerns, the Women’s Resource Center will find the best community asset to help area women in need.
On Wednesday, March 4, at 6:30 p.m., the Women’s Resource Center will host its first event, which will be an informal talk on women’s health by Dr. Beth Mazzola. Coffee and dessert will be served.
Initially, the Women’s Resource Center will be open on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is hoped area women will help create and personalize a place that provides the tools for personal success.
