Sylvia Pahl Murray, 75, of Weatherford, Texas, died Jan. 3, 2009, after a brief illness. Memorial services were held at All Saints Episcopal Church in Ft. Worth.
During Sylvia’s time in Pagosa Springs, she was an active member of the community. Her outpouring of concern and generosity for the community were attributes that described who she was. Sylvia was an active member of the Communities Facilities Coalition, better known as the committee of volunteers that led the charge in building the Pagosa Springs Community Center. Her energy, dedication, creativity, and her exceptional ability to work as a team member helped to make the Community Center possible. She was also very involved with the Chamber of Commerce and wherever a hand was needed.
Sylvia was preceded in death by her husband L.D. “Bill” Murray. She is survived by sons John Muller and his wife, Sandy and Mark Muller. Stepchildren, Rick Murray, Mark Murray, Loren Murray and Nan Murray. Grandchildren, Karen, John, Alex, Joe, David, Sarah and Neal.
