On Sunday, Jan. 11, the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship topic will be Strengths Based Living, presented by local artist and photographer, Barbara Conkey.
She will introduce an easy and adaptable concept which identifies five areas of individualized strengths that are hard wired in the brain from an early age.
She points out that “After identifying your strengths, it is possible to direct your attention at work, school, or home to doing what you are good at and love to do. This not only produces positive results and reinforces feelings of self worth, it also contributes to those around you. Moving from mediocrity to excellence — an idea whose time has come!”
As the children’s program this month explores different aspects of prayer, this Sunday’s session will consider an important role in the many religions of the world, prayers of thanks. We will hear a story about the Hebrew brachot or blessing, and make thank you cards for someone special.
The service begins at 10:30 a.m. in the Pagosah Unitarian Universalist Fellowship Hall, Unit B-15, Greenbriar Plaza. Turn east on Greenbrier Drive off of North Pagosa Boulevard by the fire station, then left into the back parking lot and look for the big sign. All are welcome.
