Do you need a break from the busy holiday season? 

How does a refreshing light lunch with friends and a calming stroll along a wetlands trail to observe active over-wintering bird species sound to you?  

The Weminuche Audubon Society is hosting a holiday party Thursday Dec. 18, from noon to 2 p.m. at the Pagosa Springs Community Center. 

During the noon hour, there will be food, a photo essay of the chapter’s recent events, and a silent auction. Immediately following, chapter members will lead a birding walk along the wetlands trail behind the community center.
