During the months of October and November, there were 150 people from the community who were vaccinated against the flu at Pagosa Mountain Hospital’s flu vaccine clinics.
Because of that positive response, the hospital will offer the vaccine again during the month of December.
The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) has announced the week of Dec. 8-14 as National Influenza Vaccination Week. In support of the CDC, the hospital will provide flu vaccine during regular office hours, 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m., on the following days:
• Tuesday, Dec. 9, which is designated as Children’s Vaccination Day.
• Thursday, Dec. 11, which is designated as Seniors’ Vaccination Day.
Members of the public, of any age, are welcome to come to the hospital on South Pagosa Boulevard during these hours to receive a flu vaccination. Come to the registration desk and ask for your vaccination. The charge for the vaccination remains $25, in the form of check or cash.
