Ladies, are you spending too much time indoors as the weather gets colder? Having trouble keeping those pounds off?
Elation Center for the Arts has the solution to this distressing situation — a new dance class called “The Art of Oriental Dance.”
Oriental Dance is the term preferred by many dancers for what is commonly known as belly dancing.
On Thursday, Dec. 4, 3 to 4:30 p.m., instructor Carla Roberts will lead dancers through a gentle stretch and conditioning session followed by the main components of Oriental Dance — muscle control and isolation, graceful arms, and great hip moves to help melt away that pesky cellulite. If you are a winter sports enthusiast, this is a wonderful core conditioning for sports as well.
This class is $5 per session and is held at the Pagosa Lakes Clubhouse at 230 Port Avenue.
Please call Carla Roberts for more information and an extended schedule for classes, 731-3117.
