Restoration Fellowship will support the efforts of artisans around the world by selling their handmade gifts, home décor items, jewelry and personal accessories.
The event, the third annual World Craft Fair, to be held 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 6, and noon-5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, at Restoration Fellowship, 264 Village Drive, behind City Market, offers a unique opportunity for people in the Pagosa community to invest in their world by shopping fair trade. Shoppers will also learn more about skilled artisans in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.
For more than 60 years, Ten Thousand Villages has worked with talented artisans around he world providing vita, fair income in exchange for their beautiful handcrafted items. By holding this sale of handpainted ceramics, intricately woven basketry and handmade jewelry, we give people in Pagosa a chance to help create employment opportunities for people around the world.
Sales like the one sponsored by Restoration Fellowship owe their success to dedicated local volunteers. Here in Pagosa, volunteers will unpack the crafts, serve as sales clerks and clean up following the event.
