Thomas Lee Jackson, 63, of Scottsdale, Tasmania, Australia, died Thursday, Nov. 6, 2008, in Hobart, Tasmania, Australia. He was born in Durango, Colo., June 30, 1945, the son of William F. and Allie M. Jackson, formerly of Pagosa Springs. They preceded him in death.
He attended elementary school in Pagosa Springs, and graduated from high school at The Abbey in Canon City, Colo. After attending Notre Dame, St. Louis University and Washington University in St. Louis, Mo., he moved to Australia and remained there for 20-plus years. He had since traveled the world, applying his trade of alternative health care for many species of animals.
He is survived by his four children: William, of Darwin, N.W. Territory, Australia; Jarrah, of Hollister, Mo.; Kate and Cimarron, of Scottsdale, Tasmania, Australia; his sister, Essie M. Whiteface, of Pine Ridge, S.D.; two brothers, Bill of Olsburg, Kan., and John of Delta, Colo.; two grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are pending, and will be held in his hometown, Scottsdale, Tasmania, Australia.
