Come to the Sisson Library Saturday, Nov. 8, for some great tips on living “green” at a free Lifelong Learning Lecture.
Denise Rue-Pastin, chair for our local Southwest Organization for Sustainability, will present “Living Responsibly: Saving the Environment While Saving Money.”
Denise will provide a number of practical ways you can help protect the environment, while saving money. She will cover a range of simple choices at the store to more extensive changes that will bring big savings.
The session will also include a discussion among participants as to what has worked for them and the challenges and benefits they have encountered while attempting to make changes to support the environment.
This is the final lecture in the fall 2008 Lifelong Learning series. Don’t miss this opportunity to keep your mind agile and your life interesting.
The presentation is free and open to the public. It will take place at the Sisson Library, located at the corner of U.S. 160 and South 8th Street, starting at 3 p.m.
