On Saturday, Nov. 8, the Parish Hall will host the 12th annual Fashion Show.
The “Festival of Fashions” will spotlight beautiful clothes from Happy Trails Ladies Boutique and delicious food from Victoria’s Parlor. The entertainment value will be high with Mary McKeehan describing the action and Mike “DJ Dude” Hayward providing the music.
Mary and her husband, Don, own and operate Old West Press. In their “spare” time they have actively volunteered with many community groups including Chamber of Commerce, Rotary and the Humane Society. Mary is most remembered for her portrayal of Mother Superior in the “Nunsense” musicals produced by Music Boosters. She is appreciative to have been “blinged” by Happy Trails for the show, and although there may be a script, you never know what she might add.
Mike works full time for Cisco Systems as a business development manager and plays at audio/visual as a hobby. He notes, “I purchased some cool equipment for my wife, Muriel, and my twenty-fifth wedding anniversary party and have been adding to it ever since.” He has volunteered his services, huge screen, projector and terrific sound equipment for Relay for Life, Seeds of Learning and dances at the community center to name a few. Mike will rent his audio/visual equipment as well as DJ for parties. As you can see in the accompanying photo, he’ll even come in costume.
Hurry and buy your ticket for $35 at Happy Trails downtown or Switchback Mountain Wear in the City Market Center. Tickets will not be available at the door.
