Fashion Show funds will support the Parish Hall

The 12th annual Immaculate Heart of Mary Fashion Show will take place Nov. 8 at the Parish Hall.

This year, Happy Trails Ladies Boutique is the exclusive sponsor and will be showcasing all of the fashions for the event.

Victoria’s Parlor will be providing guests with a wonderful lunch.

The current Parish Hall was built in the 1960s, after a fire destroyed the original 1900s building while it was undergoing renovations.

The Parish Hall has provided the Pagosa Springs community with a valuable meeting place for both parish and community activities and events. Non-denominational users include the local Boy Scouts, Loaves and Fishes, which provides free lunches every Thursday, and Chimney Rock Interpretive Association, which has hosted speakers for the community and provided CPR/First Aid training to volunteers in the hall.

Even the community Halloween party was held at the Parish Hall until it grew too large and was moved to the community center.

Catholic programs held at the Hall, such as Life on the Edge and Life Teen, are open to all teenagers, regardless of religious background. The Hall hosts benefits and fund-raisers such as bake sales for parishioners in need, as well as the highly anticipated and well-attended Knights of Columbus Lenten Fish Fry.

With construction of the Pope John Paul II Catholic Church, the new Parish Hall must be completely outfitted. Funds raised at the Festival of Fashions will go toward that goal.

Tickets are $35 and can be purchased at Happy Trails downtown or Switchback Mountain Wear in the Pagosa Country Center.

Runway tables with reserved seats are available.

Call Maria at 264-4260 for information. Seating is limited and tickets will not be available at the door.

The event is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. so there will be plenty of time to shop after the show. Get your ticket today and don’t miss this chance for a ladies’ day out, while helping support the Parish Hall.
