Shannon Dawn and Aaron Ian Singh

Michael and Sabrina Taylor are delighted to announce the marriage of their daughter, Shannon Dawn, to Aaron Ian Singh, son of Mukesh and Mildred Singh of the Woodlands, Texas.  The couple was wed July 5, 2008, at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs.  Shannon is a 2000 graduate of Pagosa Springs High School and recently graduated with an MBA from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs.  Aaron will celebrate his graduation from Arizona School of Health Sciences with a master’s in Physician Assistant Studies on Aug. 2.  The couple will reside in The Woodlands, Texas.

Joanie Gardner and Mike Councilor

Joanie Gardner and Mike Councilor are to be married Aug. 16, 2008, at West Fork, with family and friends celebrating their marriage. Joanie is the daughter of Margie Jordan of Pagosa Springs. Mike is the son of Dave and Alice Councilor of Avondale, Ariz. Joanie’s children are Jeanette, Jeanine and son JJ. Mike has one son, Michael, and daughter-in-law, Stephanie, both of Phoenix, Ariz. Michael is a Marine currently stationed in Iraq. Michael and Stephanie just had a daughter, Brook, in June. Joanie also has two grandchildren, Daniel, 4, and Kyrra, 1.

The couple has already gone on an early honeymoon to Hawaii with family members. The couple will continue living in Pagosa Springs.

Amy Moore, to Michael Allen,

Walt and Kim Moore of Pagosa Springs are pleased and blessed to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Moore, to Michael Allen, the son of Bill and Linda Allen of Lake Oswego, Ore. Amy graduated from Pagosa Springs High School in 2002 and graduated from Colorado State University in 2006 in construction management. She is currently working with Kiewit Northwest on the Devil’s Slide tunnel project in San Francisco and Michael is a financial analysis with Sysco Component Corporation in the Bay area. The couple will be married in the Oakland Temple in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints on Sept. 26, 2008, and will honeymoon in Hawaii. We give our love and blessings to a wonderful couple, Amy and Michael.

Caleb N. Ormonde

Air National Guard Airman Caleb N. Ormonde has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas.
During the six weeks of training, the airman studied the Air Force mission, organization, and military customs and courtesies; performed drill and ceremony marches, and received physical training, rifle marksmanship, field training exercises, and special training in human relations.
In addition, airmen who complete basic training earn credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Ormonde is a 2007 graduate of Pagosa Springs High School.
