Owen Will Tully made his debut March 27, 2007, in Durango, the new son of Ash and Trish Tully and brother to Trista Tully, of Pagosa Springs. Grandparents are Pete and Marilyn Dach of Pagosa Springs, and Mark and the late Janice Tully, also of Pagosa Springs.

Alexyss Skylar Zander would like to be welcomed into this world by her parents, Scott and Lesha Zander, her grandparents, Don and Jeanette Davis of Pagosa Springs, Doug and Bunny Peper of Chama, N.M., and her uncle, Lane Peper, also of Chama, N.M. She arrived on Tuesday, May 1, 2007, at 7:03 a.m. She weighed 7 pounds, 6.3 ounces and was 18 inches long.

Shanti Johnson gives a winning speech at the school board’s monthly meeting Tuesday, on the topic of making a difference in the world. Johnson won first place in Public Speaking II with the speech at the state FBLA competition. Johnson will lead a delegation of high school students who qualified for the national FBLA competition in Chicago, including Rosie Lee, Jenni Webb-Shearston, Aaron Miller, Emily Greer, Tad Beavers and Tesh Parker.

Jared Lincoln, of Pagosa Springs, a graduate of Pagosa Springs High School, will receive his bachelor of arts degree in sociology from the University of Colorado in a ceremony May 11 at Folsom Field in Boulder.
